Julie works with individuals, corporate teams, and societal groups to elevate the appreciation that change starts with imagining the future we want, and consciously choosing decisions to create that future.

About

Calling herself a change doula, Julie’s most valuable skills lie in complex systems integration, and simplification of complex ideas. While she abhors the idea of eating elephants, deconstructing issues into bite-sized chunks is how she supports sense-making of the myriad current and evolving crises, hurdles, and opportunities.

A relentlessly optimistic pragmatist, her career as a sustainability practitioner spans more than thirty years. Her enthusiasm for her work stems from the thrill of people recognising their agency and resilience. As people individually and collectively discover their power and capacity for creativity, opportunities to shift realities blossom.

Julie’s vision is building empress of empathy. Her approach to the changes required to ensure that life-supporting systems are maintained in support of a global society of equitable wellbeing, is based in academic theory, personal experience and applied corporate and civil practise. She supports change by facilitating people’s connectedness - and therefore relationships with -themselves, each other, our material world, nature, ideas, attitudes, and worldviews. To create a vision for the future, we need to connect first with people’s common humanity, so that we can honour and share our differences in safety.

Julie’s soul-space is in wild nature, she writes, takes photographs, cycles, hikes, and her most rewarding experience was as a Therapy Dog Handler.
